Doulas of Dubai was created as a professional community for independent doulas who want to feel supported, connected, and visible while continuing to work for themselves.
We are not a doula agency. Each doula in our community manages her own practice, services, fees, clients, and availability. What we share is a commitment to ethical doula care, continuing education, collaboration, and strengthening the birth community in Dubai.
Doula work can be deeply meaningful, but it can also feel isolating. Doulas of Dubai exists so that doulas have a place to gather, debrief, learn, share resources, and support one another in the sacred and practical work of holding families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
Whether you are an experienced doula, a newly trained doula, or still completing your training, we welcome those who are aligned with our values and committed to respectful, professional, family-centered support.
Doulas of Dubai brings independent doulas together while honoring each doula’s individual path, voice, and practice.
As a member, you become part of a wider professional network that supports doulas, educates families, and builds positive relationships with hospitals, clinics, midwives, doctors, childbirth educators, and other birth professionals.
Our goal is to create a community where doulas are not working in isolation, but are connected to one another and to the wider maternity landscape in Dubai.

We believe doulas have an important role in the birth community, and that role is strengthened when doulas are supported, educated, and connected.
All members of Doulas of Dubai are expected to follow a clear code of ethics and scope of practice.
This helps protect families, doulas, hospitals, and the wider birth community.
As doulas, we do not provide medical care. We do not diagnose, prescribe, perform clinical tasks, make medical decisions, or speak on behalf of medical providers.
Our role is to provide emotional, physical, educational, and practical support. We help families understand their options, prepare questions, communicate with confidence, and feel supported throughout their experience.
We respect the role of doctors, midwives, nurses, and hospital teams. We believe that positive relationships between doulas and healthcare professionals create better outcomes and better experiences for families.
By becoming a member, you agree to practice with professionalism, respect, integrity, and within the boundaries of your training and role.
One of the benefits of membership is the opportunity to be listed in the Doulas of Dubai public directory.
The directory helps families find and connect with professionally trained doulas across Dubai. Each doula listed in the directory remains fully independent and is responsible for her own communication, availability, packages, contracts, and fees.

Families are encouraged to connect directly with the doula of their choice and choose the support that feels right for them.
Doulas of Dubai does not assign doulas to families and does not manage your private client relationships. The directory is a place of visibility, connection, and access.
Doula work asks us to hold a lot. We witness strength, fear, joy, grief, uncertainty, advocacy, vulnerability, and transformation.
Doulas also need spaces where they can be held.
Doulas of Dubai offers opportunities for doulas to gather, connect, reflect, and debrief in a respectful and confidential community setting. These spaces allow doulas to share experiences, ask questions, learn from one another, and feel less alone in the work.
We believe that doulas who are supported are better able to support families.
Birth work is always evolving. Families’ needs change, hospital policies shift, new services become available, and our understanding of birth continues to deepen.
Doulas of Dubai is committed to supporting continuing education and professional growth for members.
This may include workshops, guest speakers, skill-sharing circles, hospital updates, waterbirth education, postpartum education, VBAC discussions, bereavement support, professional boundaries, communication skills, and other learning opportunities that support doulas in their practice.
Our goal is to help each doula grow individually while also strengthening the collective doula profession in Dubai.
Doulas of Dubai also serves as a central point of connection for hospitals, clinics, birth workers, maternity services, educators, and community partners who want to reach doulas or support families.
This allows doulas to stay informed about new services, hospital updates, community needs, educational opportunities, and events.
We believe that respectful collaboration between doulas and healthcare professionals is essential. Doulas of Dubai aims to help build bridges, improve communication, and create more understanding around the role of doulas in maternity care.
Doulas of Dubai may include different types of membership depending on your training, experience, and current stage of practice.
For trained doulas actively supporting families in pregnancy, birth, postpartum, or bereavement.
Professional members may be eligible for directory listing, community gatherings, debrief circles, continuing education, and professional visibility.
For doulas currently completing training or newly beginning their doula journey.
Student members can connect with the community, attend selected gatherings and educational opportunities, and grow in confidence as they build their practice.
For aligned birth workers, educators, and professionals who support families and want to be connected to the wider Doulas of Dubai community.
This may include childbirth educators, lactation professionals, postpartum specialists, bodyworkers, therapists, and others whose work supports pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
To protect the integrity of the community, members are asked to:
Work within their scope of practice
Respect client confidentiality
Communicate professionally with families and healthcare providers
Avoid giving medical advice unless medically qualified to do so
Respect each family’s choices and values
Respect fellow doulas and avoid competitive or harmful behavior
Attend community gatherings or education when possible
